Hailing from Hungary, mákos tészta—aka poppy seed pasta—is a sweet and nutty dish. It combines your favourite noodles—typically wide, flat egg noodles—with finely ground poppy seeds and sugar. Here, we’ve added some lemon tang with Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing Mix. If you like it extra lemony, use the full 3 tbsp.

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 14 cup pasta water; drain remaining water. Return noodles to pot. 
  2. Cube butter. To pot with noodles, add butter, dressing mix, 2 tbsp reserved pasta water, and honey. Over low heat, toss noodles until the butter is melted. If needed, add more pasta water, 1 tbsp at a time, until the sauce is silky.

Serve with 4 oz (113 g) lean protein and 1 cup steamed veggies.
